Lenape Ice Hockey

It’s Matthew’s senior year so I figured it was about time to get our butts to one of his games!

Yes, the only way I could tell which one was Matthew was from behind! The game itself wasn’t overly exciting (they lost 3-1), but the stands were getting a little rowdy : o)

GOAL!

Please, don’t embarrass me! Haha. All in all, we had a good time and hopefully they can pull off a win next time ; )

Lions, Tigers, Bears - oh my!

Yesterday, to celebrate Mom’s birthday (and the kids’ belated Christmas gift) we all headed to the zoo! IMG_0069

This picture took lots of hard work and patience : )

All in all, we all had a great day and at the end, one little girl was all tuckered out while the other was still grinning ear to ear!

Wedding Fun

I almost forgot, the best part about the wedding (okay, maybe not the *best* part, but it was pretty awesome) was the photo booth!

Couples that get sick together, stay together!

Kenny and I are both currently battling sore throats and potential head colds...Amber feels sorry for us! The funny thing is neither can blame the other since we both woke up with them yesterday: /

.twenty.six.

Yesterday was my 26th birthday. It's hard to believe I'm 26 already, but alas, I am. All in all I'm proud of what I've accomplished in my 26 years here on Earth and I look forward to the next 26!

Here's a recap of my day:

First of all, alarms should be illegal on your birthday, but I made a commitment to Jessica to meet for Day 2 of Couch to 5K so that is exactly what I did : ) I'm so proud I got up & exercised on my birthday when all I really wanted to do was sleep in!

After my work out Mom took me to breakfast for Banana Pecan Pancakes...yummy! My stack wasn't quite this big, but it sure was delicious : )

Following breakfast, I headed off for an hour massage. These are a rare occurrence and I savor every second. I felt absolutely relaxed and calm the rest of the day...they really should become a monthly ritual!

Since I had most of the day off and some time to kill before working dinner at the cafe I snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie. I was trying to keep with the calming effects of the day : ) I LOVE all Nicholas Sparks' books so naturally I've been wanting to see The Last Song since it was in theaters. Lucky for me the dvd was just released on Tuesday so I picked it up at Redbox. Overall it was a cute movie, but nothing compared to the book!

Luckily I did have most of the day off, but I still had to work dinner for a few hours. No biggie though, I was still able to enjoy my birthday and I ducked out a little early to grab dinner with Kenny. Yes I know I work at a restaurant, but I had a total craving for fish tacos and I just had to have them! We drove out to On The Border and I order the Dos XX Fish Tacos...OMG, yum! I can't wait for my leftovers tonight!

Best of all? Spending time with family and friends!

It was a fabulous way to spend my 26th birthday and thank each and every person who made my day extra special! Until next year...

My how things have changed!

Wow, in the last four months things have greatly changed! Mom bought a cafe, I quit my job and I enrolled back in school. Crazy times! I'm currently working on a post to recap the craziness that has been my life in the past four months!

Stay tuned!

Three Years

Exactly three years ago on Friday, April 13, 2007 (yes, Friday the 13th was actually a *lucky* day for us!) we became homeowners! With tender love and care, we've slowly created the place we call home. It is a never-ending process, but I love each and every day I walk through our front door knowing this is the place we call home : )

National Champions

That's right...they made us proud! Sure, majority of the country was rooting for underdog Butler, but in our hearts we were cheering on Duke Blue Devils. While they were ranked #1, not a single "expert" predicted Duke to even make it to the Final Four...and sure enough, they dominated the tournament and took the title of 2010 National Champions!
